Aurora is a video projection of small dust particles onto a parachute floating in the wind. Playing with the scale, small images projected on a large floating surface are meant to relate to themes of the cosmos, big and small.

Working with parachutes and roller coasters as symbolic and sculptural elements, this piece explores an understanding of how time changes within heightened states of chaos. This videos and its installation play with scale, time and how we interpret tenuous situations. They immerse the viewer into a world where time is stretched or exaggerated, to emphasise how these moments shift our senses and play with perception. Breathe becomes a medium and a soundtrack that questions the function of the object of a parachute in the assumed and found state. The parachute, meant to protect, is inverted and devoid of its purpose, implying the presence of a fall or a moment after control was relinquished. Roller coasters evoke a similar sensation, yet there is a sense of amusement and choice, furthering the notion that there is an attraction to danger.
