Through the crossroad between network and physical space, of the inconspicuous and of the matter, of space and non-space in which man and information meet, Julien Levesque develops an approach based on the appropriation and the transformation of various documents or systems that are most of the time present on the internet. With this matter and digital fragments, he makes artworks that are both oneiric and hilarious and allow us to interrogate our habits and our everyday practices of the digital environment. By playing with our expectations of the “connected society”, the artist lets us glimpse a little bit of poesy and humour in a world without any qualms, made of 0 and 1.
