ABOUT HER MONOGRAPHIC COLLECTION FOR ARTJAWS “THE AIR OF TAKASAKI”
The artistic statement of Mériol Lehmann has always been about themes related to his expatriate status. This brought a deep fascination about territory, especially towards the feedback loop between humans and the geographic space they live in. The artist is currently working on globalization and post-industrialisation’s impacts on landscape, with a systems-thinking, interdisciplinary approach. This series of photographs was realized in October 2015 in Japan during an artistic residency, in parallel to a sound research work.
