Today, there are very few significant time periods left in human existence – with the exception of sleep – that have not been invaded and taken up by working, consuming and marketing time. As work gets a little deeper into our domestic spheres, we are witnessing the dissolution of most of the boundaries that separated private time from professional time. Sleep to do suggests moving sleep time to the office. The installation consists of a cushion on which is printed the capture of a YouTube page and a speaker broadcasting the sound that emanates from it. Filed in the “relaxation” category on YouTube, the sound is that of the buttons on a computer keyboard. As the sound resonates in the room, the worker is invited to recover by sleeping at his workplace.
