Born in Switzerland but living in Quebec for many years, Mériol Lehmann is an artist working mainly with photography and sound art. Whether performances or installations, his works have been presented at numerous artists-run centres, festivals and other venues, both in Canada, Europe and Japan. Mériol Lehmann is currently working on a systems-thinking approach to territory. He’s also a teacher, a sound designer, as well as a digital art/culture consultant. After several years as Avatar’s director, an artists-run centre dedicated to audio & electronic art, he’s currently working on a MFA at Université Laval.

This artist had been selected by the guest curator Constance Meffre as part of her first ArtJaws collection “The Air of Takasaki”.
