Tal Danino is an interdisciplinary artist exploring the emerging field of synthetic biology. His work transforms living microorganisms like bacteria and cancer cells into bio artworks using various forms of media. Originally from Los Angeles, Tal received B.S. degrees in Physics, Math, and Chemistry from UCLA and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from UCSD. He did his postdoctoral research at MIT and is a TED Fellow. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Columbia University.

This artist has been selected by the guest curator Dooeun Choi for ArtJaws in the collection entitled “#BODY #morph”
